This place is only a few days old, but it’s already one of my favorite coffee shops! Since my family knows the owners, I know how much time, effort, and thought went into each and every element of this shop. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and super high-end. It’s very industrial, but the awesome lighting makes it comfortable and homey.
Besides the decor, though, the drinks themselves are delicious. 40 LBS serves some of the latest and best Stumptown coffee varieties, as well as Steven Smith tea. Smith tea is one of my favorite local brands, and they had a great variety! It even came served in an adorable tea pot :). Moreover, they had Chai Nitro on tap (which was AMAZING).
I’m excited to see 40 LBS grow and prosper. It’s located right off the MAX line on SW 2nd and Yamhill in a very up-and-coming area. Definitely a great spot for downtown commuters or students looking for a place to study. Go support this fabulous local business– you won’t regret it!
